Concerned Bloggers Association ~ Pet Hoarding

This Post is brought to you by The Concerned Bloggers Association.
This month’s Topic: Our furry friends and what is best for them.

Are you a pet hoarder?

Did you know?…
~ 250,000 animals per year are victims of hoarders. (Source: Animal Legal Defense Fund)
~ Only 10% of the animals received by shelters have been spayed or neutered. About 75% of owned pets are neutered. (Source: ASPCA)
~ There is something called “Pet Hoarders Disease” which is linked to obsessive-compulsive disorder. The compulsion to collect large number of animals is considered animal abuse. They are often neglected and mistreated. Animal hoarding equals animal cruelty.

Be a responsible pet owner. Spay or neuter your pets and don’t collect too many.

This Public Service Announcement was brought to you by the Concerned Bloggers Association. If you would like to become involved, please contact Marleen Vaughan for more information.
